Bio
Bonnie Goetz is an artist, working primarily with slow-drying acrylics and drawing in pencil and charcoal based in the Hudson Valley region of New York. Her work is an inquiry into the emotional resonance and expressive movements of natural forms, drawing parallels between gestural landscapes and human experiences of loss and transformation.
Mrs. Goetz holds a BFA in Painting from SUNY Purchase College and an MFA in Studio Art Teaching from Boston University. She is also the founder of BINAHarts, a therapeutic art program, which supports women affected by extreme stress and trauma. This dual practice deeply informs her visual art, particularly utilizing art as a vehicle to release unspeakable emotions, support vulnerability, and a source of healing.
Currently, her painting practice focuses on dried botanical structures, using their fragile elegance as a metaphor for stillness, loss, comfort, and enduring beauty. Bonnie Goetz's pieces are held in private collections nationally and internationally in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida, California, France, and Denmark.
